*Classical Music* is for everybody. The INTERNATIONAL PREMIERE PERFORMANCE of "Epiphany" for symphony orchestra by Dr. Janet Dunbar, 11 June 2009, took place in beautiful Ukraine. The performance featured Maestro Leo Walz conducting a Ukrainian orchestra (DSO). "Vision" was the other Dunbar composition in the concert. Dunbar's classical music style is called "The New Elegant Simplicity" and features memorable melody. The style appeals to a very broad audience so that more people can experience the joys of classical music. Classical music lovers everywhere who formerly believed that all the great classical music composers were dead are ready for a contemporary classical music composer who writes new music that engages them with beautiful melody, rhythmic interest and counterpoint. Dr. Dunbar is a contemporary composer who is not a medical doctor, but a Doctor of Musical Arts in Composition, Stanford University, Master of Arts in Music, San Jose State University. Joshua Bell Stop and Hear the Music by the Washington Post
From the Washington Post:
Pearls Before Breakfast
Can one of the nation's great musicians cut through the fog of a D.C. rush hour? Let's find out.
By Gene Weingarten
Washington Post Staff Writer
Sunday, April 8, 2007; Page W10
HE EMERGED FROM THE METRO AT THE L'ENFANT PLAZA STATION AND POSITIONED HIMSELF AGAINST A WALL BESIDE A TRASH BASKET. By most measures, he was nondescript: a youngish white man in jeans, a long-sleeved T-shirt and a Washington Nationals baseball cap. From a small case, he removed a violin. Placing the open case at his feet, he shrewdly threw in a few dollars and pocket change as seed money, swiveled it to face pedestrian traffic, and began to play.
It was 7:51 a.m. on Friday, January 12, the middle of the morning rush hour. In the next 43 minutes, as the violinist performed six classical pieces, 1,097 people passed by. Almost all of them were on the way to work, which meant, for almost all of them, a government job. L'Enfant Plaza is at the nucleus of federal Washington, and these were mostly mid-level bureaucrats with those indeterminate, oddly fungible titles: policy analyst, project manager, budget officer, specialist, facilitator, consultant.

Classical Medley by Buddy Greene on the Harmonica
SINCE PEOPLE KEEP ASKING, HERE ARE THE SONGS THAT HE PLAYED ACCORDING TO COMMENTERS:
1ST: 'Jesu, Joy Of Man's Desiring' by Johann Sebastian Bach.
2ND: Mozart's Piano Sonata in C, K. 545 - Allegro
3RD: Rossini's William Tell overture (known to most as the theme from 'The Lone Ranger')
WOW. He's so good on the harmonica!Buddy has talent pouring out from his ears. He also can sing, play the guitar, and he writes music (he wrote the music for 'Mary Did You Know') but he's most known for his Harmonica. Not to mention he is a really funny, cool guy.

Organist Marko Petricic - An Introduction
In this video feature, we have an introduction and artist's profile on Marko Petricic (pronounced pet-RICH-ich), one of the youngest new artists to appear on the Pro Organo CD label. Marko tells us about his background, including his early experiences in his native Yugoslavia (now Serbia), and shares performances on the pipe organ of works by two French composers, and also plays a transcription of a well-known organ Prelude and Fugue by JS Bach on his first instrument, the bayan. This feature also announces the release of Marko Petricic's first commercial CD recording, entitled "FRENCH ACCENT" (Pro Organo CD 7223), which is being released on the Pro Organo label on 25 April 2009. Marko's CD recording was made on a pipe organ known to organists as a landmark American Classic instrument built by Aeolian-Skinner, at First Presbyterian Church in Fort Wayne, Indiana. His new CD is an all-French organ program, including music of Franck, Guilmant, Widor, Duruflé, and Messiaen. The pipe organ that Marko plays in this video was renovated by the Indianapolis organ building firm Goulding & Wood, and is located in All Saints Episcopal Church, 1559 Central Avenue, in Indianapolis. Felices Días - Orquesta Sinfónica de Puerto Rico
Roselín Pabón: Director/Conductor Lito Peña: Arreglo/Arrangement Juan Morel Campos Born in Ponce on May 16, 1857, he is without any doubt, the best exponent of the Puerto Rican danza. He was the most prolific danza composer and the one who took that form to its highest level. El Asalto, "Felices Días", "Vano Empeño", "No me toques", Un Conflicto, "Mis penas", "Tormento", "Alma Sublime", "Laura y Georgina and many others are only a small sample of his vast repertoire, which is calculated to be more than 550 compositions of which more than 300 are danzas. He began his musical studies at the tender age of eight under Prof. Antonio Egipciaco. During his youth he learned how to play almost all brass instruments and for some time he conducted the Municipal Band of Ponce and was the church's organist. He later became the most advanced student of Manuel G. Tavarez, considered The Father of the Danza, whose influence can be perceived in some of his first creating new danzas in which he incorporated all the rythms and styles of his time, plus many of his own, developing the form to what it is today. Many of Morel's danzas were not originally written for the piano. In its origins danzas were for dancing, as its name implies. Morel had his own dance orchestra, "La Lira Ponceña" for which he wrote most of his compositions. Later he transcribed them for the piano, so they could be played by everyone at home and not be forgotten. Morel's inspiration came from many sources, but most of ...
