Cecilia Bartoli - Una Donna A Quindici Anni
- Classical music composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart The celebrated Italian mezzo-soprano Cecilia Bartoli at the very beginning of her successful career in 1990. Here she sings Despina's aria Una Donna A Quindici Anni from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's 1790 opera Così Fan Tutte (K 588). Orchestra of Teatro Mercadante di Napoli is conduced by Salvatore Accardo. Video taken from Italian TV Rai Uno. A consummate actress as well as an amazing singer, it was only a matter of time when Bartoli would be catapulted into stardom. So far she has sold more than six million CD-s, a feat rarely achieved by a classical musician who has never made a compromise of going into crossover. An artist of great instinct, she has managed to bring lesser known works by composers such as Vivaldi, Salieri and Haydn to the attention of a broader public. Subscribe! Subscribe! Subscribe! :)

If Rossini is a rich pastry, Bellini is a smooth Swiss chocolate. This is slightly edited to highlight Bartoli's exquisitely intimate bel canto. BBC Review: Cecilia Bartoli stands apart from other classical artists with her talent for unearthing and breathing new life into long-forgotten music, rather than re-recording the core repertoire. Bartoli's rich voice, with its pyrotechnical capabilities and dramatic powers, couldn't be better suited to the task.

Cecilia Bartoli (born June 4, 1966 in Rome) is an Italian coloratura mezzo-soprano opera singer and recitalist. She is best-known for her interpretation of the music of Mozart and Rossini, as well as for her performances of lesser-known Baroque and classical music. She is known for having the versatility to play both soprano and mezzo roles, and is sometimes considered a soprano with a low tessitura. Bartoli's coloratura skill has earned her the title the Queen of Agility. Bartoli is considered a coloratura mezzo-soprano (Koloratur-Mezzosopran) with an unusual timbre. She is one of the most popular (and one of the top-selling) opera singers of recent years. Bartoli is much liked by the concert-going public for her lively, vivacious on-stage persona, while her lyric voice and investigations of Baroque music have given her considerable recognition even among the non-opera-going public... en.wikipedia.org - Cecilia Bartoli (*Roma; 4 de junio de 1966) es una mezzosoprano italiana especializada en obras de Mozart, Rossini, y obras menos conocidas de música barroca. Bach's Suite No. 1 for Unaccompanied Cello
Steven Sharp Nelson's "The Cello Song", based on one of the most recognizable classical pieces ever written, J.S. Bach's Unaccompanied Cello Suite No. 1: Prelude. Steven decided that this piece needed some accompaniment. (Bach must have been busy and never got around to it?) :) Adding some original material and 7 more cello parts stacked on top of each other, Steve has created a cool new sound that embellishes all the features that have made Bach's work so popular.

La Donna e Mobile (Ocarina)
A famous aria from Rigoletto, an opera by Giuseppe Verdi. I actually recorded this a week ago (on the same night I recorded my Heidenröslein video), but my internet wasn't working, so I was unable to upload it until now. I've got one other video recorded as well, which I'll probably upload tomorrow. Performed on a Fabio Menaglio Sol 2 (soprano G). Recorded on a Flip UltraHD camcorder and a Zoom H2 audio recorder. Reverb was added.

Maria Callas: O Mio Babbino Caro (Gianni Schicci) Puccini
Soprano Maria Callas sings "O Mio Babbino Caro" from "Gianni Schicchi" by Giacomo Puccini and is accompanied by the Orchestre National de L'Office de Radiodiffusion Télévision Française (L'ORTF) conducted by Georges Pretre in this 1965 video. Maria Callas (Greek: Μαρία Κάλλας) (December 2, 1923 -- September 16, 1977) was an American-born Greek dramatic coloratura soprano and perhaps the best-known opera singer of the post-World War II period. She combined an impressive bel canto technique with great dramatic gifts. An extremely versatile singer, her repertoire ranged from classical opera seria to the bel canto operas of Donizetti, Bellini, and Rossini, and further, to the works of Verdi and Puccini, and in her early career, the music dramas of Wagner. Her remarkable musical and dramatic talents led to her being hailed "La Divina." Born in New York and raised by an overbearing mother, she received her musical education in Greece and established her career in Italy. Forced to deal with the exigencies of wartime poverty and with myopia that left her nearly blind on stage, she endured struggles and scandal over the course of her career. She turned herself from a heavy woman into a glamorous one after a mid-career weight loss, which might have contributed to her vocal decline and the premature end of her career.
