Saint-Jean ...

Saria per me sventura un serio amore?
Che risolvi, o turbata anima mia?
Null'uomo ancora t'accendeva -- O gioia

E sdegnarla poss'io

Ah, fors'è lui che l'anima

A quell'amor ch'è palpito

misterioso, altero,
croce e delizia al cor!

Wedding March from A Midsummer Nights Dream Mendelssohn
WSU Brass and Organ Recital
Organized by

Ian Schwindt, Trombone
Wiedemann Recital Hall
Wichita State University
April 8, 1996
Well, nobody could ever accuse either myself, or my good friend Ian Schwindt of not being pure, unadulterated "brassholes." We were very fortunate to have not only great friends at WSU who were like-minded in our pursuits of great brass music, but also having at our disposal an amazingly talented church organist, my mother Genevieve Bishop!
It should go without saying that this concert was extremely enjoyable to perform. I'm terribly sorry that the video quality of this concert is very poor. I did, however, lay the digital sound over the video, so at least the audio is acceptable. Believe it nor not, this entire recital was given after having only one hour-long rehearsal....a full week before the recital! I believe that is a testament to the outstanding musicians and friends we had at WSU.
Not only that, but how lucky were we to have a venue like Wiedemann Recital Hall -- a building solely constructed to house the Great Marcussen Organ? Built in 1986-87, it was the first Marcussen organ built in North America by the Danish firm. For more information, please see:

All the pieces of the "Wedding Suite" were arranged by Ian Schwindt for his own Wedding Ceremony of July 1, 1995. Yes, in fact the wedding had three antiphonal brass choirs and organ. It was the greatest wedding music I'd ever heard until this last May, when I put together the greatest wedding music of ALL-TIMES for my baby sister Katie for her wedding day.

Symphony No. 94 in G 'Surprise' - Andante
Symphony No. 94 in G 'Surprise' Hob I/94 - Andante. Joseph Haydn This famous movement by Joseph Haydn is from his 'Surprise' symphony - No. 94 in G, one of the 12 'London' symphonies. These represent the summit of Haydn's symphonic achievement; from the early, Baroque-style days of his early employment to here, the polished yet passionate and serenely lyrical symphonies of the classical era at its height. This movement is famous for the sudden loud chord near the beginning, hence the nickname - the most famous example of Haydn's good-natured humour, a humour which often shows in his delightful music, often very Mozartian (and that is certainly a compliment!) This piece is well-known, although not in the same sense as items such as Beethoven's Fur Elise or Mozart's Eine Kleine Nachtmusik - this is well-known amongst throroughly interested fans of classical music, and whether or not you are one of those, I hope you enjoy this witty but beautiful and at times intense and emotional movement, as good an example as any of the classical period within classical music.

Sadest Song in the World - Winter Sonata Piano - Korean Drama OST
'From The Beginning Until Now' I performed this 겨울연가 'Winter Sonata' theme tune sung by Ryu written by Yiruma because This Drama Really Touched Me Emotionally & my mum loves this Korean drama and Bae Yong Joon 배용준 the male actor BYJ. He's Really handsome Hehe :P. So for you mum. Please sit back and enjoy. Recorded on mobile camera phone. Apologies for the sound quality. Winter Sonata (aka Winter Ballad/Winter Love Story, Korean: 겨울연가) was the second part of the KBS TV drama series Endless Love. This installment was produced in March 2002 in South Korea. It was broadcast on Japan's NHK and has been a major part of the (so called) Korean wave both there and throughout Asia. Known as 冬のソナタ in Japanese, Sonata de Invierno in Spanish, and 冬日戀歌 in Chinese. Gymnopedie 3 - Erik Satie (Classical Piano) Photos by Pianopod
This video is the third of the three Gymnopédies with a slide show which I have called "Evening Skies". I took these photos at various locations around the world, including Lake Garda in Italy, Antigua in the Caribbean, The Algarve in Portugal, and on the Island of Lanzarote. Unfortunately, I am not playing the piano in this video. The Gymnopédies, published in Paris starting in 1888, are three piano compositions written by French composer and pianist Erik Satie. The Gymnopédies are the first compositions with which Erik Satie tried to cut himself loose from the conventional 19th century "salon music" environment of his father and stepmother. Satie apparently used the word "gymnopédiste" (gymnopaedist), before having written a note of his later so famous gymnopédies. The anecdote of Satie introducing himself as a "gymnopaedist" in December 1887 runs as follows: the first time Satie visited the Chat Noir cabaret, he was introduced to its director, Rodolphe Salis, famous for serving sharp comments. Being coerced to mention his profession, Satie, lacking any recognisable professional occupation, presented himself as a "gymnopaedist", supposedly in an attempt to outwit the director. The composition of the three Gymnopédies started only two months later, and was completed in April 1888. In August 1888, the "First Gymnopédie" was published, accompanied by the verse of Contamine quoted above. However, it remains uncertain whether the poem was composed before the music, or ...

Gymnopedie 1 - Erik Satie (Classical Piano) Photos by Pianopod
This video is the first of the three Gymnopédies with a slide show which I have called "The Forest". I took these photos on a rainy day in the South Island of New Zealand. Unfortunately, I am not playing the piano in this video, the pianist is Aldo Ciccolini. I plan to upload a video of myself playing this piece in the near future. I will be uploading the second and third Gymnopédie over the next week. Richard Wagner - Siegfried Funeral March (HD)
I always feared (artistically speaking) this spectacular piece of classical music. The way I see it is the most 'high and mighty musical performance be compared to God's hand between the minute 2:50 to the end and' sublime. The video is a tribute to the generative power of the Earth and everything that He has created (with a cameo in honor of the Trilogy of the Nibelung). By IlSignoreNeroo blog.libero.it
