Recently, I added two more recordings of Donizetti’s “Don Pasquale” and “L’elisir d’amore” to my collection. These operas are well-known and have been recorded many times. According to operadis-opera-discography.org.uk, there are 62 recordings of “Don Pasquale” and 77 recordings of “L’elisir d’amore.” I already have some recordings that I’m happy with, like Abbado’s “Don Pasquale” and Scimone’s “L’elisir.” However, the new ones I bought are now the highlights for me.
