Born in Fusignano, he studied in Bologna before establishing himself in Rome, where he enjoyed the patronage of aristocrats like Cardinal Ottoboni. Corelli was a virtuoso violinist and a pioneer of the concerto grosso and sonata forms. His compositions showcased balance, clarity, and emotional depth, shaping violin technique and performance standards. Revered as a teacher and composer, Corelli’s work inspired greats like Handel and Bach and defined the evolution of Baroque music.
