“Una Furtiva Lagrima” is a romanza from the opera “L’elisir d’amore” by Gaetano Donizetti. It is sung by Nemorino (Caruso) when he realizes that the love potion he bought actually works on Adina, the woman he loves. Despite being a simple man, Nemorino goes to great lengths to win her over. He spends all his money on what he believes is a love potion, but it turns out to be cheap wine. However, when he sees Adina crying, he knows she has fallen for him.
