Zdeněk Fibich, a prominent Czech composer of the 19th century alongside Bedřich Smetana and Antonín Dvořák, created a vast repertoire of chamber works, symphonic poems, operas, and liturgical music. Another notable work is his symphony “At Twilight,” which is considered one of his most introspective and deeply expressive compositions.
Throughout his life, Fibich remained dedicated to his art and continued to compose until his death on October 15, 1900. His contributions to classical music are still celebrated today, and he is remembered as one of the leading composers of the Czech national revival movement.
