Valentina Lisitsa, a Ukrainian-born pianist, began playing at age 3 and gave her first solo recital at age 4. She studied at the Lysenko music school and Kiev Conservatory, where she met her husband, Alexei Kuznetsoff. In 1991, they won the Murray Dranoff Two Piano Competition and moved to the US. Lisitsa has performed at prestigious venues worldwide and collaborated with violinist Hilary Hahn. Her performances include works by Chopin.
