Live performance of “Meditation from Thaïs” by Jules Massenet, featuring Randy George on theremin and Jose Enrique Serrano Comes on piano. This concert took place at the Casino De Salamanca in Salamanca, Spain on December 8, 2008. Special thanks to Carmen Bachiller Martin, Jorge Sastre Martínez, and Alejandro Martinez Estrada for making this performance possible. The theremin is a classical instrument that was brought to life by Clara Rockmore, who demonstrated its ability to produce beautiful melodies from thin air. These videos aim to inspire others in the same way.

Jules Massenet was a prominent French composer known for his contributions to classical music. Born in 1842 in Saint-Étienne, France, Massenet showed early musical talent and began studying at the Paris Conservatoire at the age of eleven. He studied composition under Ambroise Thomas and quickly gained recognition for his skills.
