Prokofiev’s “Romeo and Juliet – Montagues and Capulets,” also known as “Dance of the Knights,” is a dark and atmospheric piece from the ballet. It has become a signature tune for the Soviet era, used in dramas, documentaries, adverts with Soviet subject matter. It was featured in a 1990s French commercial for Chanel’s Egoiste fragrance and used as competition music in the Canadian TV show “Kenny vs. Spenny.” Additionally, it serves as the theme score for English football club Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.
